Our Story
Named for a Wednesday.
Among the Ewe people of Ghana's Volta region, a child carries the day she was born in her name. Akuvee — Wednesday-born. It is a name that says: you arrived at a particular moment, and that moment belongs to you.
AKUVEE is built on the same idea — sculptural occasionwear in organza, duchess satin, silk chiffon and feather, sourced and made with intent, released in small numbered runs. Pieces for the days that carry your name.
